Take some wild strawberries (or if you wish some cultivated strawberries, but in this case they should be first cut in halves or into four pieces) properly washed and dried. Put them into a bowl and dress them with two or three teaspoonfuls of excellent Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena Extra Vecchio “Claudio” – the quantity of the balsamic vinegar depends on the quantity of the strawberries. Allow about 15 minutes to rest and then add the wished quantity of sugar. Note : when adding both the balsamic vinegar and the sugar, stir the strawberries gently. Serve into an ice-cream cup so to enjoy the strawberries with your eyes and sense of smell, besides your taste.
